Ukulele with a ribbon

Don’t you love when the Amazon package shows up, you tear the box open and pull out something the entire family loves? This was the case when the ukuleles first showed up. There was music around the clock. As soon as someone put one down, someone else would pick it up and the music would continue.

This didn’t continue forever. Eventually the newness wore off and we had to find a place to store them….someplace besides the couch or the table.

One of them was put in the case it came with, but we soon realized that it was out of sight, out of mind. It never got played. What’s the point of an instrument if it’s just going stay safe in its case. We had to find a better place for it.

While hanging out with some other roadschoolers, they not only helped teach our children to play, they also gave us an excellent idea. We noticed they had a ribbon tied around the neck of their ukulele. This created a perfect handle for hanging it up.

We put some ribbon around ours and added a couple command hooks on the wall and viola, a perfect place to store them. They make a great decoration to the living room, stay safe from rough toddlers, and are easily accessible whenever anyone wants to play.
