Holland RV

We were hunting for a new trailer.  Ours did the job, but it was a little tight, and no one really had their own personal space.  In addition, we were looking for the ability to be more self-sufficient.  We wanted larger water tanks, and a generator.  If you have ever shopped for a RV, you know there are tons and tons of options.  We had a list of things we wanted, and decided that a fifth wheel toy hauler would fit the bill best.  I combed the internet for the best deals around.  I stopped and looked at one on my way back to San Diego from Las Vegas.  We stopped and looked at another on our way to Joshua Tree National Park.  They fit the bill, but were older, and showed the signs of age.   We opened up our budget a little, and looked for some newer coaches.  I came across one on Craigslist that was listed local, but had an address near San Diego.  So I text the number on the listing and we went back in forth about various things.  Then on Saturday me and Brittany took a drive down to take a look at it.  It is a 2011, but in great shape, and barely shows signs of use.  We decided this would be our new home.  Matt our sales person went above and beyond in making sure that we could get this all done quickly.  We were in Palm Desert at the time, and were supposed to move to Lake Havasou the following Monday.  We changed our travel plans and decided to stay in Yuma instead.  We drove down to Santee on Monday and dropped off the Shadow Cruiser at the lot and went down to Pacific Beach and spent the night with Harmony’s dad.  They made sure our stuff was safe and locked up in their yard.  The next morning we picked up the truck, and went back to the dealership.  They did a great job detailing the new coach.  We did our “red carpet” walk through with Buzz, he was awesome in explaining and showing us how everything worked.  They made sure we had plenty of water, and were hooked up.  The next morning John showed up to deliver the trailer.  They were all very helpful as I had lots of questions about the 5th wheel part of it.  I I followed John to the AZ border, we signed the papers, and was on our way.   All in all, I would recommend them to anyone looking for a RV.  They have  locations throughout California in Santee, San Marcos and Palm Desert.  Check them out, if your shopping at the Santee location, ask for Matt.

About Fummins Family

In 2016 a family hit the road with 5 of their children. They were going to travel the country in a Ford Excursion that had a cummins engine. A ford with a cummins, hence the name, Fummins. Ford+Cummins=Fummins. It was going to be a fummins family roadtrip. Within 3 months they decided that the travel trailer they were pulling wasn't working well for their family. They needed more space so they upgraded to a fifth wheel. It's not easy to pull a fifth wheel with an excursion, so they had to bid farewell to the fummins. They talked about changing the name of theirs travels, but decided to hold onto it for a while longer. They already had a website, blog, youtube, instagram and facebook. After 2 more years they decided to make the switch to Roadschool. Here they will share some of the old posts and video. It may be old information, but it's still just as good...at least most of it!
