Dam Fish!

Saturday was a rainy day, so we checked out a couple places close to camp.  First we went and checked out the Cowlitz Salmon Hatchery.  There was a fun interactive visitors center for the boys to learn about Salmon migrations.  Outside they had a ladder that the Salmon use to climb into a sorting facility to be trucked around the dam.  From there we went and checked out the Mayfield Dam.  It’s a hydro-electric dam that supplies power to Tacoma.  Wasn’t anything earth shattering, but saw some cool stuff!

About roadschool

Roadschool began in our family over 20 years ago and we are carrying on the family tradition. Since 2016 we've been on the road exploring, learning and educating our children. We've made a lot of friends, explored a lot of places and learned a lot of great information. Our goal is to share it with you as you proceed on your own Roadschool adventure.
