Day 2

Today didn’t go as originally planned.  But it was a good day.  We spent the day around the house and did some more organizing.  The trailer was in disarray (still is) and we spent a lot of time shifting, cleaning, and getting things into better places.  We had hoped to get out and maybe do some paddle boarding, but the weather wasn’t very nice, so we didn’t.  We did drive around Newport a little bit, tried to go to a museum, but it was closed.  So we went to the Grocery Store, and to Ben Franklin.  Does anyone remember Ben Franklin stores?  Growing up in small town Montana that was the spot if you wanted anything that wasn’t groceries.  We didn’t have Walmart, Target or anything like that, we had Ben Franklin.  Give me a like if you remember or have been to that store!  Overall a pretty mellow day, we played some Mini Golf, did a load of laundry, and got settled into our new life style.  The kids played by a river, and threw rocks, and did boy things.  Tomorrow morning we wake up and head west.

About Fummins Family

In 2016 a family hit the road with 5 of their children. They were going to travel the country in a Ford Excursion that had a cummins engine. A ford with a cummins, hence the name, Fummins. Ford+Cummins=Fummins. It was going to be a fummins family roadtrip. Within 3 months they decided that the travel trailer they were pulling wasn't working well for their family. They needed more space so they upgraded to a fifth wheel. It's not easy to pull a fifth wheel with an excursion, so they had to bid farewell to the fummins. They talked about changing the name of theirs travels, but decided to hold onto it for a while longer. They already had a website, blog, youtube, instagram and facebook. After 2 more years they decided to make the switch to Roadschool. Here they will share some of the old posts and video. It may be old information, but it's still just as good...at least most of it!
