Babyland General Hospital

When was the last time you went in a hospital and saw babies hatching out of cabbages?  At Babyland General Hospital you’ll have your chance.  Walk through the nursery and see baby boys and girls and pick one to adopt and take home, complete with birth certificate.  You’ll also have a chance to see some of the Cabbage Patch Kids from previous generations.

What is it?

Babyland General Hospital is the birthplace of the Cabbage Patch Dolls located in Xavier Robert’s hometown in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains.  The staff is dressed as doctors and nurses in the only place where you can witness the birth of a Cabbage Patch Kid.

Good to know:

*Located in Cleveland Georgia
*Visiting Hours are Monday through Saturday 9am to 5pm and Sundays 10am to 5pm

*Closed Major Holidays

*Admission is free
*Parking is free with ample space for RVs
*Great place for birthday parties

Babyland General is more of a toy store than a factory tour, but if you ever had a Cabbage Patch Kid as a child you should definitely check out the birthplace.  It feels like walking into a hospital nursery where you can choose between adoptable babies popping out of a cabbage patch and purchase all the accessories you may need.  It doesn’t take long to explore the hospital so it’s a great stop for a quick visit.

About Fummins Family

In 2016 a family hit the road with 5 of their children. They were going to travel the country in a Ford Excursion that had a cummins engine. A ford with a cummins, hence the name, Fummins. Ford+Cummins=Fummins. It was going to be a fummins family roadtrip. Within 3 months they decided that the travel trailer they were pulling wasn't working well for their family. They needed more space so they upgraded to a fifth wheel. It's not easy to pull a fifth wheel with an excursion, so they had to bid farewell to the fummins. They talked about changing the name of theirs travels, but decided to hold onto it for a while longer. They already had a website, blog, youtube, instagram and facebook. After 2 more years they decided to make the switch to Roadschool. Here they will share some of the old posts and video. It may be old information, but it's still just as good...at least most of it!
