1000 books in an RV

In our beginning stages of planning for roadshooling we knew that weight and space would be an issue living in an RV. We had a ton of books. Books are heavy and they take up a lot of space.

This posed a problem because we love to read and our children love to read. We needed books. The only options we had were to trade the RV for a book mobile, or find another way.

We did the only logical thing and we got ourselves and each of our children kindles. That way we could have as many books as we wanted without taking up extra space or adding extra weight to our RV.

We opted for Kindle fires. They are relatively inexpensive, can hold a ton of books and we got some indestructible child proof cases. We bought some e-books, got some from friends, got some from Amazon Prime books, and we tried Amazon Free Space for the kids.

There has been no shortage of reading in our house on the road and of all our roadschool supplies, this one has gotten the most usage.

About roadschool

Roadschool began in our family over 20 years ago and we are carrying on the family tradition. Since 2016 we've been on the road exploring, learning and educating our children. We've made a lot of friends, explored a lot of places and learned a lot of great information. Our goal is to share it with you as you proceed on your own Roadschool adventure.
